Carlos is deeply in love with Kylie and worries that her adoption by a white family might diminish her connection to her Filipina roots. However, he soon realizes that the couple can provide her with the family network he cannot. Meanwhile, Kim's obsession with her new PDA frustrates Alex until they manage to use it to help a gravely ill man, earning praise from the critical Dr. Peterson. Faith and Fred are still navigating their uncertain feelings about the Sergeant's exam. To disrupt Chevchenko's illegal bookmaking, Faith and Sully devise a clever scheme that also hints at the potential return of the missing Tatiana. Bosco gets cleared for duty, and he and Faith agree to reunite as partners when he’s back.
