Episode Overview

During a citywide blackout amidst a scorching heat wave, Sully ominously cautions the overly hopeful Ty that chaos is imminent. Meanwhile, Carlos leaves the ambulance running to cool off a bus, but disaster strikes when the engine ignites, resulting in the vehicle's destruction. An ailing wealthy man offers the paramedics a substantial sum to stay with him until his daughter arrives, but Doc insists they must prioritize those in greater need, much to Carlos's dismay. Bosco arrests a young man named Latrell Griffith, who faces a moral dilemma when an immigrant shop owner injures a teenage shoplifter. Latrell uses his medical skills to save the boy, but this act sparks a riot, forcing him, Bosco, and the shoplifter to narrowly escape. As night falls, tensions rise, and the anxious officers struggle to maintain order. Meanwhile, Faith and Fred find themselves trapped in an elevator during the blackout, with Faith trying to soothe Fred's growing panic.
