Faith dismisses Bosco’s attempt to make amends for his earlier deception. Meanwhile, the fire crew works to free a driver who has become impaled after crashing into a shop. Following Doc's heartfelt plea for Carlos at the review board, Carlos feels revitalized and returns to the streets. Sully's performance falters as he fails to monitor a woman he was assigned to protect, allowing her to snatch her critically ill baby from Mercy’s E.R. When they learn she has a mental illness, Ty attempts to save her from jumping off a roof but ends up taking a dangerous fall. Faith is taken aback when Emily, initially hesitant, shows enthusiasm for continuing her visits with a drug counselor. Ty discovers Sully drinking at the R.M.P. and seeks guidance from a union representative. In a heavy turn of events, Carlos loses his job as a result of the department’s settlement with the West family.
