Episode Overview
In February 1997, Roger Andrews faces a harrowing encounter at his residence when an armed intruder confronts him. In a moment of instinct, Roger defends himself, firing his own weapon and hitting the assailant three times. Miraculously, the attacker survives and is apprehended by law enforcement. Investigations soon reveal a connection between the arrested man and a past crime—the murder of a former town clerk in Ramsgate from 1996. Fast forward to June 2010, 14-year-old Lillian Groves tragically loses her life in New Addlington, struck by reckless driver John Page, who was under the influence of cannabis. This episode follows Lillian’s parents as they strive to reform the legal system that allowed Page to evade appropriate consequences.
