Howard receives an offer for the vice-presidential role at a major hardware store chain and contemplates relocating to New York for the opportunity. Although nothing is set in stone and Fonzie senses that the Cunninghams are subtly encouraging him to depart, Howard makes the impulsive decision to pack up and move out of his apartment right away.
