Episode Overview

After a chilling murder at the nearby pond and witnessing his father's strange, self-inflicted wound, Deputy Tommy Conroy hesitantly takes on the role of Sheriff, a title given to him by town matriarch Peggy Haplin. However, when he uncovers the identity of Jerry Friddle's killer, he finds himself burdened with yet another town secret, leaving him conflicted. Meanwhile, Henley seems to have deeper insights into Haplin's sinister past than she reveals, which intrigues Merritt Grieves. Still, she remains determined to unlock the secrets of the enigmatic third-floor room in the boarding house.
