During a gig at Bimbo's featuring guest singer Sophie B. Hawkins, Chris spots a captivating young woman named Heather in the crowd, who returns his smile. Sophie also takes notice of her. Backstage, they eagerly meet Heather and discover she is an up-and-coming sculptor. However, when both Chris and Sophie attend her debut exhibition the following night, Chris realizes Sophie has feelings for Heather as well, sparking a competition for her attention. Eager to outshine Sophie, Chris impulsively buys one of Heather's unsettling animatronic sculptures for five thousand dollars. Meanwhile, Yola is stuck on a blind date with a charming yet dull guy, longing for it to end. But when a near-accident occurs, colliding with a bus shelter, she feels a mix of fear and unexpected attraction.
