Candela faces a tough choice regarding Díaz's pretrial detention. Despite her team's objections and the widespread disapproval from the island's residents, she decides to grant him bail, imposing strict conditions that prevent him from leaving the island and require constant supervision. This unpopular ruling is further complicated by Díaz’s insistence on tracking down the true perpetrator himself. Feeling isolated from her own team, Candela seeks a trusted ally familiar with the island's dynamics. In a bold move, she brings Reyes, a local officer, into the investigation crew.
