Mia, determined to elevate her club above Malcolm and Eddie's in Kansas City, presents Eddie with an irresistible proposition that he finds hard to turn down. At the same time, Nicolette decides to participate in a short story competition, whisking the group back to the Roaring Twenties, where two competing nightclub proprietors engage in increasingly unscrupulous methods to claim the top spot.
