Stone House Revival (2016)
S02E01 Summer Kitchen Restoration
Episode Overview
Lauren and Dan have a stunning stone house in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, built in the 1850s. Their summer kitchen, a separate building, was originally designed to keep cooking heat away from the main residence. While the exterior remains in excellent shape, the interior is deteriorating, and the large original cooking fireplace requires significant restoration. Jeff and his crew work to bring the fireplace back to its former glory and decide to take down the ceiling boards to reveal the original rafters. However, they face challenges when trying to reuse the ceiling boards as flooring on the lower level.
