Throughout the United States, medical professionals and researchers are engaged in a battle against some of nature's most lethal adversaries — parasites. A mysterious organism wreaks havoc in a midwestern city, leading to the worst parasitic outbreak the nation has ever seen. Tragically, before the threat is managed, 100 innocent lives are lost. In Chicago, physicians race to uncover a hidden menace that targets students on a spring break getaway, while in Texas, a flesh-eating creature terrorizes a local community.
