Meanwhile, a young woman faces a near-fatal situation from hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, contracted while cleaning dust contaminated with mouse droppings. Additionally, an 18-month-old boy becomes infected with Baylisascaris procyonis worms, leading to brain swelling and neurological issues, including eye fluttering and a lack of responsiveness.
