Monsters Inside Me (2009)
S05E01 My Daughter's Going Crazy
Episode Overview
A teenage girl experiences bizarre mood swings due to anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis. Meanwhile, an elderly mother suffers from chills, numb hands, wrist pain, and oozing blisters after being pricked by a crab while preparing a stew, resulting in a Vibrio vulnificus infection. Additionally, an athletic military veteran, back from competing in reality shows in Fiji, returns home feeling overheated and experiencing pinching sensations in her arms and toes, along with hallucinations caused by rat lungworm, which she contracted from eating a slug during a jungle challenge.
