Meanwhile, a councilman faces a serious health crisis, resulting in the loss of his spleen to visceral leishmaniasis. In another case, a 6-year-old experiences a fever, red spots, a swollen mouth, decreased appetite, leg weakness, and breathing troubles, all stemming from rat bite fever caused by Streptobacillus moniliformis.
