Episode Overview

Season five kicks off in the wake of last May's car accident, as both sets of parents gather at the hospital where a dazed Dharma has just emerged from surgery. The crash has resulted in a broken hip, leaving her reliant on a wheelchair for the time being. Greg, who escaped with only minor injuries, is burdened by guilt and attempts to impose a strict regimen on Dharma’s recovery, much to her dismay, as she wishes to trade physical therapy for wheelchair races down the hospital corridors. Meanwhile, Abby is convinced that surrounding her daughter with crystals and chants will aid in her healing, while Larry calls it a "healing ceremony" and Greg dismisses it as "voodoo."
