Episode Overview
Dharma unexpectedly finds herself in a rivalry with a childhood friend who has come to visit. September, who grew up alongside Dharma in a commune, has stayed true to her unconventional lifestyle, crafting salads from “greens sprouting through the pavement” and singing songs she learned from Nelson Mandela. Stricken by guilt over her own life’s transformations, Dharma resolves to embrace a simpler existence. She starts by decluttering her wardrobe and ponders what else she and Greg could live without—potentially even their electricity, or Greg’s treasured TV right before the Super Bowl. However, her biggest concern is the feeling that September might have her sights set on Larry, and it turns out her instincts are correct, but not in the way she fears.
