After Frankie hands over an old scarf to her neighbor Nancy Donahue, who has no use for it, Nancy surprises her by baking a mouthwatering apple pie in return. Thinking she's found a clever way to score free meals, Frankie starts searching her home for other items to give Nancy in exchange for more tasty treats. Meanwhile, Sue and Lexie are ready to move back into their college apartment, only to discover it's been rented out to a man who is unwilling to vacate. Additionally, Axl's new role as the school bus driver allows him to check in on how Brick is faring in his sophomore year, only to find out that Mike has declined to speak to Brick’s class for Career Exploration Day.
