The Poldarks anticipate a tranquil life together, but Ross is drawn to London by a desperate request from his former army commander, Ned Despard. Upon reaching the capital, he discovers a city consumed by fear and suspicion. Driven by loyalty, Ross resolves to rescue Ned from the sinister plot that has led to his wrongful imprisonment.
