Episode Overview
George, Luke’s father, comes to visit the Seavers, hoping his son has softened and is ready to connect. However, Luke is uninterested and nearly leaves when George collapses at the doorstep. Unable to move, he’s invited inside for help. Meanwhile, Jason and Ben decide to handle George's delivery, leading to a series of misadventures. Mike suspects George is faking his injury to force a conversation with Luke, but a doctor warns Maggie, who relays to Mike that George risks paralysis if he continues trucking. Mike encourages George to be honest with Luke, but George fears pity and feels lost without his trucker identity. Inspired, Mike suggests opening a truck stop. Later, Luke finds George struggling and they finally converse. The next day, upon Jason and Ben’s return, George announces his retirement from trucking to pursue the truck stop venture, taking Luke along. Luke bids farewell to the Seavers.
