As the school year draws to a close, the Year 11 students at Thornhill are gearing up for what lies ahead. Mr. Burton, the dynamic English teacher and Assistant Head at just 30, brings his own flair to the classroom, combining music, costumes, and even jumping on tables. This year, he faces his toughest challenge yet with a class of students teetering on the C/D borderline. Musharaf struggles with a severe stammer, and his anxiety about leaving school has only intensified it. As he gets ready for his GCSE English oral exam, Mr. Burton is willing to try any unconventional method to boost his confidence. On the other hand, Hannah, who has the potential for A grades, often finds herself avoiding class. The staff worry about her untapped abilities and wish she would focus more on her studies instead of dodging lessons. Will Mr. Burton’s innovative approach help his students achieve success?
