Episode Overview
Brett's birthday celebration goes well with his friends, but he feels let down when his father doesn’t give him a gift, given their parents' divorce. Tensions rise between Dianne and Commander Lucas over new equipment for her research, prompting Winston to suggest they should be kinder to each other. While chatting with Froggy and Zoe about divorce and stepparents, Brett starts to suspect that his mother and Commander Lucas might be developing a connection, especially after noticing their recent friendliness. This theory gains traction when Commander Lucas offers him a private bridge tour, during which Brett tries to drop some troubling comments about his mother to deter the Commander’s interest. Meanwhile, after rescuing Jason from a shark while swimming near her island, Neri shares her fragmented life story with him.
