Glen Latimer, in a shocking turn of events, throws his wealthy bride Nancy off their boat. Fortunately, she survives and is taken to a hospital. Conflicted about whether it was an accident or something more sinister, Nancy finds herself in a precarious situation. Meanwhile, Jake steps in, befriending Glen under the guise of being Nancy's brother, all while trying to unravel the truth behind the incident and protect Nancy from further harm.
