Episode Overview

Paramedics in the field start to doubt the decision-making of the overly cautious Dr. Morton, who insists on adhering rigidly to protocols. The fire department attends to a report of intense back pain. At the hospital, they treat a man with phosphorous burns on his arm and a boy who suffered a head injury from a baseball. As the firemen handle a case of breathing difficulties, a neighbor tragically drowns in a hot tub nearby. Meanwhile, Officer Vince gets hurt in a traffic accident and begins to behave erratically.
