Episode Overview

As the papal forces advance into the Kingdom of Naples, the future of Florence hangs in the balance. Some of the Priors question Lorenzo's leadership, yet the resolute Magnificent refuses to allow his city to be overtaken by foes. To regain control from the doubting Priors, Lorenzo hatches a clever plan. He sets off for Naples with the aim of breaking the siege and restoring tranquility to his beloved Florence.
