Noel Clarke, an actor and filmmaker, was raised in west London by his single mother, leaving a gap in his understanding of his family heritage. His journey begins in Trinidad, the homeland of both his parents, but quickly expands to other Caribbean islands, ultimately leading him to one of the smallest and most stunning locations in the region. There, he uncovers the remarkable story of his great-great-great-great-grandfather, Glasgow Bedeau, who was born into slavery. Through the music shared by Glasgow's enslaved ancestors, Noel discovers the African roots from which his lineage was uprooted.
