Episode Overview

In December 1942, the women find themselves separated as they march to their new camp. Marion's group soon discovers that the second group, which includes Blanche, Nellie, and Sylvia, is being sent elsewhere and won't be reuniting with them. During an overnight stop at an abandoned house, they come across Joss Holbrook, an elderly man who had been left behind by another group due to illness but has since recovered. Tragically, Debbie is bitten by something during the journey and dies, prompting the women to insist on giving her a proper burial. It’s then that Marion learns the Bowens were Jewish. The weary group finally arrives at their new camp on January 1, 1943.
