Sherlock and Joan delve into the homicide of a high-end Manhattan hotel’s general manager, whose remains are discovered inside an industrial laundry machine. As they work on the case, the clock is ticking on Joan's time with Sherlock. In light of this, he proposes that she take up an apprenticeship with him.
