After a six-year hiatus, a serial bomber returns to wreak havoc, prompting Watson to enlist the assistance of Shinwell Johnson, a former patient whose life she had saved during her time as a surgeon. Meanwhile, Holmes notices that Watson seems discontent and probes her about whether she still finds satisfaction in her detective work.
