In the dead of night, Sam and Eddie respond to a homicide, only to discover that the victim is the very man who recently enlisted their help to locate his missing spouse. Realizing that the two cases are intertwined, they hurriedly delve into the dark motivations behind the murders. As they dig deeper, the case resurrects painful memories for Eddie related to his tumultuous exit from the LAPD, complicating their pursuit of the truth.
