Episode Overview
Amid a fierce storm, DCI Vera Stanhope (Brenda Blethyn) stumbles upon an abandoned vehicle containing a baby while trying to reach home. Stranded without cell service and facing impassable roads, she reluctantly heads to Brockburn House, the Stanhope family estate. Upon arrival, she’s met with cold reception from her distant relatives, who are busy with a gathering, and her unexpected entrance with an infant raises eyebrows. The situation escalates dramatically when a body is discovered on the path to the house, plunging Vera deeper into a troubling mystery.
