In the heart of New Mexico's Chihuahuan Desert, Joe finds himself trapped in an old mineshaft, fighting to escape. When he encounters a venomous western diamondback rattlesnake, it becomes a meal for survival. Meanwhile, a decaying cow carcass teeming with maggots challenges the crew's differing approaches to enduring the harsh environment, forcing them to confront their philosophies on survival in a dire situation.
