Episode Overview

George feels a bit less manly as Izzie and Meredith treat him more like a sister than a friend. Izzie is tasked with caring for a patient on the verge of losing his masculinity. Meanwhile, Cristina, ever the competitor, arrives early to take on an ailing woman who used to be Meredith's mother's scrub nurse. Alex, on the other hand, is occupied with plastering Izzie's provocative magazine photos all over the interns' locker room. Amidst all this, Meredith struggles with her mother’s Alzheimer's while Derek tends to a patient who has nails lodged in his head.
