Meredith and Derek's relationship hits a snag that requires urgent attention. During a visit with her goddaughter, Addison receives a tempting job offer outside of Seattle. Derek prepares for an upcoming surgery, while Burke grapples with doubts about marrying Cristina. As Addison embarks on a road trip to California, she encounters new faces and considers relocating to reconnect with her old med school friends, only to find that their lives are just as complicated. A pregnant woman is left to uncover the identity of her baby’s father.
