Sloan arrives at Mark's apartment just as she's going into labor, with Mark, Teddy, and the bickering Callie and Arizona present to support her during the delivery and help Mark navigate the impending adoption of his grandson. Meanwhile, Teddy perceives Derek's invitation to renowned cardiothoracic surgeon Tom Evans as a potential risk to her job security at the hospital. In another part of the hospital, the team is treating a crab boat captain who has been impaled by a massive shark hook.
