Mr. Wainwright lets Henry go after he declines to issue an apology for his recent Cosmic Cow comic strips that satirize President Reagan. Instead of taking the embarrassment of unemployment benefits, Henry chooses to follow his dream of painting, even as Muriel agrees to a full-time job that she’s not particularly interested in.
