Joan feels let down about being taken out of combat but is determined to make the most of her time back home. She’s dismayed to discover that Roland is still set on accepting the new job. Meanwhile, Denise is at the hospital with Latasha's son, who has been taken to the emergency room. Gloria receives her divorce papers and faces the added challenge of finding a new home. As Maggie and Eddie settle into their new place, tensions rise within the blended family. In Afghanistan, the troops are assigned to a perilous and isolated outpost.
