Frank's life takes a devastating turn when the cruel local football coach, Stan O'Rourke, sets fire to his home, destroying his paintings and displacing him. Meanwhile, Regina races to prevent George and Sarah from falling into Sir Richard's trap in Canberra. Tensions rise between Jack and Henry as they argue about whether to inform Douglas of his diagnosis, despite Elizabeth's objections. After Elizabeth criticizes her novel, Anna seeks edits, but Ed stands firm against it. Ultimately, Elizabeth delivers the heartbreaking news to Douglas about his terminal illness. In Canberra, the Prime Minister reprimands George for bringing Sarah, which triggers a panic attack in her when she encounters a former Ravensbrück guard.
