Episode Overview

Word has spread that the meanest woman in the country is heading to Dodge, according to Festus. In reality, it's Emma Grundy, who is on a mission to reclaim her seven orphans from Titus Spangler and return them to their orphanage. The townsfolk are appalled to learn that these kids have never experienced Christmas, and they decide to host a festive celebration at the Long Branch. However, when Mrs. Grundy arrives, it becomes clear she has her own reasons for wanting to deny the children a holiday. Kitty tries to take matters into her own hands but inadvertently makes the situation even worse.
