Episode Overview

In Doc's office, Matt questions a farmer about the mysterious gunshot wound he sustained, but the farmer is unable to explain how it happened. Meanwhile, Lamoor Underwood is intent on diverting water from the deceased farmer's land, prompting Pete Brown to take action to prevent this. Clarabelle faces eviction from her property due to someone seeking the water rights. When Pete is shot while defending Clarabelle and the other farmers, Matt confronts Underwood, urging him to collaborate with the farmers over their water rights. Although Matt arrests Pete, he hesitates to leave, and when he reveals Pete's true identity, he is struck from behind before taking Pete into custody.
