In a moment of dire financial need, Jack Fitch decides to hold up a stagecoach and kidnaps one of its passengers, Laura Church. What he doesn't realize is that Laura is "engaged" to a ruthless businessman who has threatened her father into consenting to the marriage, leaving her in a precarious situation.
