A young boy, desperate to win the affection of a saloon girl, resorts to robbery and murder, drawing the ire of Matt. In a twist, the boy ambushes Matt, leaving him gravely injured. However, when he returns to his grandmother's home, he discovers her caring for Matt, who is recovering under her watchful eye.
