Herman finds himself in an accident when a car hits him, but fortunately, he walks away unscathed. However, the vehicle involved is severely damaged. The driver, believing she has harmed Herman, consults her lawyer, who advises her to propose a settlement of $10,000. Mistakenly interpreting this offer as a demand for compensation for the car's destruction, Herman panics and flees his home, fearing he will plunge his family into financial chaos.
