In August 1932, Detroit's infamous Purple Gang, known for their reign of fear in the beer, alcohol, labor, and prostitution trades, embarks on a new venture: kidnapping. Their targets are fellow criminals, who are unable to seek police assistance. To date, they have abducted nine gangsters, with the latest victim being Rocky Garver, bringing their total ransom demand to a staggering $100,000.
