On April 3, 1931, Vic's Diner, located by the Chicago railroad yards, appears to be just like countless other diners. The blue plate special costs 35 cents, while a nickel can get you either a hamburger or a cup of coffee with a donut. However, the backroom serves as the command center for Victor Kurtz, the bootlegging kingpin of Chicago's southside. Currently, he’s in a meeting with Monk Lyselle, the northside boss, and his right-hand man, Carl Danzig, alongside his own enforcer, Holly Kester, known as The Torpedo.
