Episode Overview

Chefs Robert Irvine and Anne Burrell step back, allowing the recruits to collaborate in teams as they attempt to replicate a dish using only their taste buds. Little do they know, the chefs are closely observing their efforts and are taken aback by their performance. For the main challenge, the recruits must create a multi-layered cake to impress special guest judges, Food Network stars Gesine Prado and Jason Smith. Ultimately, Anne and Robert will determine which recruits delight their palates and which ones leave them craving something better.
