Episode Overview

A fresh wave of kitchen mayhem unfolds as twelve recruits arrive at boot camp to greet chefs and mentors Anne Burrell and Cliff Crooks. Though a few of the recruits are familiar with one another, they all share a common inexperience in the culinary world. To kick off the competition, Anne and Cliff ask them to prepare a beloved dish from someone special in their lives. For the main challenge, the recruits must attempt to recreate the chefs' impressive surf-and-turf dinner. Anne and Cliff are taken aback by the kitchen blunders, while the recruits eagerly hope to be selected for a team.
