Episode Overview

Chefs Anne Burrell and Jeff Mauro immerse the recruits in the rich culinary traditions of Italy. They kick things off with a lively trivia game where participants ride gondolas, followed by a hilarious cooking relay in which pairs must assemble a romantic Italian picnic basket. In the Skill Drill challenge, the singles tackle the task of creating sausage and pepper sandwiches, including making their own sausages from scratch. Later, during the Main Dish segment, Anne and Jeff show how to prepare classic meatballs with sauce and polenta. Those who successfully recreate the dishes move forward in boot camp, while the least successful must say "arrivederci."
