McHale's Navy (1962)

Episode Overview

Title: The Day They Captured Santa Claus Plot: For Christmas, McHale and the crew of PT-73 plan a special visit to Sister Monique and the children, all dressed in festive attire. McHale will parachute in as Santa, with the boat arriving shortly after. However, upon his descent, he discovers the island has been taken over by Japanese forces and is quickly captured. True to form, McHale cleverly deceives his captors during interrogation, claiming a new secret weapon is on its way. Just then, PT-73 arrives, singing carols and donning elf costumes, causing the Japanese commander to panic and surrender, thinking it's a new tactic of psychological warfare.
