Episode Overview

Title: Episode 4 Plot: Rose, adorned in her dark makeup, is taken aback by the numerous racial comments she encounters while out with a black friend from her poetry class. Both she and her mother are further shocked by the poor treatment they receive from their white neighbors. Meanwhile, Nick, a black teenager, expresses that he isn't offended by his peers using the "n" word, prompting his father to take him to a black barbershop to deepen his understanding of their cultural roots. In a misguided attempt to express his views, white dad Bruno shares a distasteful anti-rap video with the families, which even leaves his wife appalled.
