Death Row Stories (2014)
S04E05 Body of Evidence
Episode Overview
After a month of searching, the remains of nineteen-year-old Melissa Trotter are found in a Texas forest. Authorities swiftly focus on Larry Swearingen, who was the last person seen with her before she vanished. With physical evidence and the murder weapon linking him to the crime, Larry is convicted and sentenced to death. Two decades later, he continues to assert his innocence, highlighting weaknesses in the prosecution's case, such as unfinished DNA analysis, the existence of another potential suspect, and forensic findings indicating that Melissa may have been murdered after Larry's arrest.
